Through the story, the children will investigate the tables they have in school, and look at examples like the table in the Cabinet Office and the White House. They will then be able to explore all sorts of circle pattern problems.

Equipment needed for each child for VC1:

  • a piece of paper cut to 20 cm x 5 cm
  • pair of scissors
  • sellotape or masking tape
  • a piece of plain A4 paper
  • pair of compasses
  • pencil
