Ken EamesDepartment of Applied Maths and Theoretical Physics
Ken is a mathematical biologist who uses mathematical models to help understand the spread of infectious diseases. His main interest is in social networks and how patterns of mixing within a population influence disease spread. He began his university life studying maths before discovering his current interest and is glad to have the chance to apply some mathematical tools to everyday problems. Ken is an EPSRC funded researcher at the University of Warwick and a research fellow at Emmanuel College, Cambridge. In his copious free time Ken sings loudly and wanders around cricket fields and squash courts.
