Plus: Marianne Freiberger and Rachel Thomas

Marianne and Rachel are the co-editors of the online maths magazine, Plus, which is one of the MMP's projects.
 
Rachel completed her first degree in pure maths, and her MSc in semigroup theory at the University of Western Australia, on the banks of the Swan River in Perth. Since then she has worked in industry and private sector as a consultant before coming to the MMP.
 
Marianne writes articles and news items, does interviews, and edits feature articles sent in by Plus' wonderful and generous contributors. Before joining Plus, Marianne did a PhD and then three years' postdoctoral research in complex dynamics at Queen Mary, University of London.  When she's not doing maths, Marianne likes to design oddly-shaped pieces of jewellery.
